Lead Teacher – Bumblebee Room
I began working as an aftercare assistant at Camas Montessori School in 2004. Montessori was a completely new idea to me and I was amazed at what the children were doing. Over the next few years, I watched many of the Montessori lessons and learned how to use the materials.
In 2009, I became a lead classroom assistant with Ms. Nina in the Butterfly classroom (our current administrator). I loved this role and getting to know all of the families better. I fell in love with the philosophy and began the teacher training program in In 2012.
Before graduating with my American Montessori Society diploma, I was fortunate to co-teach with Ms. Donna, our school founder and first Bumblebee room teacher. The following school year, I was took over for her when she left the classroom to focus on administrative duties. I have been leading the Bumblebee Classroom since 2015.
I love art and being creative. I truly enjoy family time at home. I have one son who is currently in high school and is a Camas Montessori alumni of the Dragonfly classroom. The beach is my home away from home. I completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Services in 2022. I love being a part of our community a Camas Montessori School!
