Nap Room/Aftercare Staff
Danae Kizer has a lifelong connection to Montessori education, beginning as a Montessori student herself from ages three and a half to six. As an adult, she returned to the Montessori community and has spent many years supporting children and classrooms at Camas Montessori in a variety of roles, including substitute teacher, aftercare assistant, and classroom assistant for two years.
In addition to her work in education, Danae was a licensed cosmetologist for over fifteen years at Essentials Day Spa in Vancouver, where she developed strong skills in patience, communication, and individualized care—qualities she brings naturally into the classroom. After the birth of her first child,
Danae chose to spend five years as a stay-at-home parent while continuing to substitute whenever possible. Danae genuinely enjoys being in the classroom and assisting wherever needed, supporting children’s independence, confidence, and love of learning. She is married to her husband of sixteen years and is the proud parent of two children who currently attend Camas Montessori. At home, she also shares her life with two Shih Tzus, Gizmo and Onyx.
