DATES TO REMEMBER:
Jan. 25 from 4-7 pm:  PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE   This open house is for your friends and neighbors who
are interested in learning more about our school.  All of our staff will be on hand to answer questions,
demonstrate materials and show off the classrooms.  We will also be taking reservations for next fall.
Space will be limited.

Feb.1  @ 9:30am  in church basement:  Young Audience performance "Eth-no-tec".  He is an Asian
storyteller who involves the children in his stories.  He uses ancient musical flutes and dramatics.   We
have had him in past years and he is very entertaining.  Families and siblings are invited.

Feb. 2 from 4-7 pm: SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE  It's YOUR turn to come and see what your child enjoys
working with in the classroom.  Your child will be able to demonstrate and maybe involve you in some way
in his or her day-to-day activities he/she enjoys.  This is a night for our CURRENT FAMILIES.  You are
welcome to bring grandparents.  Your child's teacher may schedule a time for you to come in so the room
won't be so crowded.

Feb. 2:  Reservation forms for next fall will go out and you will need to return them by Feb. 16th

Feb. 3:  NO SCHOOL   Teacher in-service day.  The staff will use this day to update materials in their
rooms, perhaps do some repairs, sometimes we even go observe other schools.

Feb. 14:  SCHOOL VALENTINE PARTY   Each classroom will have a Valentine card exchange.  The
children are invited to address or help make their own valentines for each child in their room.  The
teachers will provide a list of names in their class newsletter at the end of January.  They will exchange
their cards during the morning on the 14th.

Feb. 16:  EXECUTIVE board meeting at the school at 6:00.

Feb. 17- Feb. 20:  NO SCHOOL  This is a four-day President's Holiday weekend.  Have a great time!

Feb. 25 from 5-9 pm:  FINALLY, our SCHOOL AUCTION "Around the world in 180 days".  This adult
event is our largest and most important fundraiser.  We look forward to seeing all of you there in some way
or another.  We could use volunteers and also attendees.  Great food provided by K'Syrah and some
FANTASTIC donations!  This is the way to experience your very first auction.
