Primary Volunteer Opportunities                Tami Baker' class PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO FULFILL AT LEAST 25 HOURS OF VOLUNTEERING VALUED AT $6/HR..  OR YOU MAY OPT TO BUY OUT OF VOLUNTEERING FOR A $150 DONATION. BOARD MEMBERS ARE EXEMPT. CHILD’S NAME_______________________________________________ Please sign up for at least 2 main events plus whichever classroom activities with which you can help. MAIN EVENTS NEEDING VOLUNTEERS:         Auction  (winter/spring)                      Thanksgiving Luncheon (Nov)         Cookie Dough Sale (Nov)                        Run for the Arts (October)         End of year carnival (June)                  Annual fund drive (ongoing)         Scrip program (ongoing)                  Board member (2 years-  eves., 1x mon.) OTHER ACTIVITIES:         Classroom Laundry 1st week of each month (usually towels and aprons)                              2nd week                         3rd week                         4th week         Select children’s books from the library (one month out of the year--a list is provided)         Listening to readers:  one day a week—please specify the day _________         Grandparent interested in listening to readers-- please specify the day _________         ¬¬¬Substituting if an assistant is sick.—usually this will be from 8:15am to 12:30pm         Repairing or refinishing classroom materials or playground equipment         Sewing classroom materials o        I have a sewing machine o        I have a surging machine         Photography.  Take pictures at special events         Help serve hot lunch on Fridays 11:00-12:00.         Help with the Atrium once a week for one hour         ( ) Collect Boxtops for Education labels   ( )Collect Campbell’s soup labels.  check one or both         Provide fresh flowers for classroom “flower arranging” and botany work         Cutting paper and/or stapling materials together         Taking care of classroom pets over vacations         Providing bedding for Angelina’s cage (pine shavings—4.5 cubic feet available at Walmart for $5) 4 people are needed to do this once a year         Providing Guinea Pig food for Angelina ($4.99 a bag at Petco)  4 people are needed for this         Provide Gecko food (mealworms$3.50, or crickets $1.50)  4 people are needed for this         Coming in one Saturday—during the year to help clean, repair or paint classroom furniture and materials as well as do playground upkeep         Provide food items for preparation activities, when requested.         Fathers to help with setup and cleanup for Mother’s Day tea in May         Other—If you have a special talent to share, please let us know.
